U.S. Space & Rocket Center- Huntsville, AL
If you ever dreamed of going to Space Camp as a kid, but never made it, you can visit the U.S. Space & Rocket Center as an adult. No, it's not the same- you don't get to miss school- but there are a lot of interesting space artifacts and interactive experiences.

Inn at Perry Cabin (Sailing)- St. Michaels, MD
As I have said before, any day on the water is a good day. It gets even better if you are spending it aboard a sailboat, with a chilled bottle of Moët and Chandon.
-
Willie Nelson & George Straight- Austin, TX
I will never forgive myself for missing Merle Haggard at the Golden Horseshoe back in late 2014. We had other plans that night, and I just assumed I had time to catch him later. I did not. I won't make that mistake again.

Dave Grohl Alley- Warren, OH
Dave Grohl Alley is one of those Atlas Obscura roadside attractions you just can't help but visit. Tucked away behind a Burger King, it is literally an alley dedicated to drummer Dave Grohl, who was born in Warren. Evolving since 2009, it is a showcase for local artists, and worth a stop if you find yourself in the area.

Gobbler’s Knob- Punxsutawney, PA
Proximity brought me to the temporary burrow of the legendary Punxsutawney Phil, a Pennsylvania groundhog that can apparently forecast the weather. Usually, Phil lives in a glass enclosure at the town library; however, on February 2nd, amid much fanfare, he is carted off to Gobbler's Knob, to predict the arrival of spring.
