Pinehills Golf Club: Jones Course- Plymouth, MA

The 2001 Rees Jones course at Pinehills is often considered the best public golf course in Massachusetts. Slightly older and harder than the club’s Nicklaus design, it is every bit as enjoyable.

Carved out of the dense native pine forest referenced in the club’s name, the track follows the contours of the land, resulting in several dramatic elevation changes. Although treelined, fairways are wide enough not to intimidate, and the large greens are hard to miss. Although development is quickly encroaching in on the course, it still remains mostly wooded and natural at this point.

Even though it’s an expensive course, tee times are hard to secure, so book well in advance. Conditions are always immaculate, and well worth the price of admission.
