Queenstown Harbor Golf Course (River)- Queenstown, MD

Fresh off a 2022 renovation, which resurfaced the fairways and updated the turf to Tahoma 31 Bermuda Grass, the River Course is the way to go at Queenstown Harbor. Not only does it feature fabulous views of the Chester River on several holes, it winds through moody wetlands, making it the more scenic of the two courses on site. 

A 1994 Lindsay Ervin design, the course embraces the site’s natural terrain, playing through the forest and around ponds, when it isn’t skirting the river. It avoids Route 50, which is a major distraction over on the Lakes course. Although challenging (you will lose a lot of balls), it is a pleasant experience, which would be improved with a better club house and dining options; fortunately, there are several crab houses not too far from the course, which make it a fun day trip from the DC area.
