The Muskoka Bay Club- Gravenhurst, ON

Prior to moving to Canada, I was unaware of the Ontario region known as Cottage Country. Carved out of the Canadian Shield by glacial activity eons ago, this stunningly beautiful area is naturally the perfect setting for the province’s best golf courses. Among those not to be missed is Gravenhurst’s Muskoka Bay Club. 

Opened in 2006, the Doug Carrick design is an absolute masterpiece, and one of the most memorable courses you will ever play. Winding through wooded valleys and wetlands, the scenic course features mostly elevated tee boxes, which offer stunning panoramic views of the both the holes and the surrounding countryside. 

While not easy, the course is enjoyable, and regardless of your score, you’ll want to play it again. Although stay and play options are available, other area resorts offer better accommodations, with more amenities.
